| FOR RTOs - Quality Management Systems ISO |

Did you know that when a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) has achieved AQTF compliance this equates to approximately 80% of compliance with the AS/NZ ISO9001; 2000 quality standards?
There is a growing trend of RTOs taking this next development phase to comply with the ISO 9001:2000 quality standards. For RTOs who are part of a larger organisational entity this process has been simplified further by the ability to acknowledge and interface with boarder organisational systems that already exist. Learning Insight’s experience in the development of both AQTF and ISO systems has been the benefit of understanding and taking into consideration both AQTF and ISO criteria in both system development and application. Our experience has shown that there are a number of optional approaches in the development of these systems that can add value and minimise costs at possible development decision stages. |
| |
| RTOs can approach AQTF compliance by: |
| |
- developing the AQTF in isolation to any other standards
- developing both the AQTF & ISO 9001:2000 standards together , or
- developing the AQTF with ISO components built into the system with no added development costs especially in the areas of continuous improvement and documentation control, which will allow for a cost-effective introduction of an ISO system if required at a later date.

Thanks. I feel confident we have our OH&S systems in place and our risk management tidied up at last.
